Spaghetti with Spinach-Avocado Sauce

Ingredients
8 oz raw whole grain spaghetti
1 cup fresh spinach leaves
¼ cup washed and dried unsalted cannellini beans
¼ cup fresh basil leaves
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 garlic cloves
1 ripe peeled avocado
¼ cup chopped tomatoes
2 tablespoons toasted chopped almonds

Move over, pesto: you're not the only sauce worth adding greens to. Avocado puree makes this dish truly irresistible. Garnish with extra basil leaves if desired.
Prepare the pasta according to the instructions on the package, without adding salt or fat. Reserve 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid. Drain the pasta.Combine the remaining 1/2 cup cooking liquid, spinach, and the following 8 ingredients (via avocado) in a food processor; blend until smooth. Combine pasta and spinach mixture; stir to coat. Sprinkle with tomatoes and almonds.
