White Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients
1 (4 oz) white chocolate bar for baking, broken into small pieces
⅓ cup heavy cream
1 cup softened butter
1 (2 lb) pack powdered sugar
¼ cup heavy cream
⅛ a teaspoon of kosher salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

White chocolate buttercream frosting is everyone's favorite filling for cakes, cupcakes or cookies.
Heat the chocolate and 1/3 cup heavy cream in the microwave at MEDIUM power (50%) for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, or until melted and smooth, stirring at 30-second intervals. (Do not overheat.) Allow to cool to room temperature (about 30 minutes).Beat the butter on medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add the powdered sugar and 1/4 cup heavy cream, 1 tbsp. l. Beat on low speed until smooth after each addition. Whisk the mixture with salt and chocolate until light and fluffy. Add vanilla.
